Signing in confirms you're a recognized PR Connector teammate, which keeps the dashboard private to the team. It also connects your Teams account, which the app uses only to (1) send review pings and reminders on your behalf, from your own account instead of a shared one, and (2) scan your chats for PR links you've already shared manually, so reminders don't nag you about a review you already pinged someone about in Teams.
